Who Will Be The New Operator For The Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line

I spoke with the RTC deputy director yesterday and it looks like none of the proposals from the perspective rail operators will be available until RTC staff reviews them and makes a recommendation to the RTC commissioners. I would expect the RTC to do something similar to what was provided in the May 17, 2012 RTC agenda. In that agenda all the proposers were listed and a summation of each proposer’s strengths and weaknesses were compared. The complete proposal for the proposer the RTC staff recommended was also included. They did not include the proposals from the other proposers.
