The 'Impossible Railroad' gets another chance

A Mexican company, Ferrocarriles de Baja California, has taken over the lease on the now abandoned Desert Line railroad that goes from San Ysidro to Plaster City via Tijuana and Tecate. The new company had made millions of dollars worth of improvements and is planning to spend many more millions on the US side of the railroad if their plans come to fruition.
