Ridership this fall and over the holidays appears to be up. Ridership on the gold line today was quite impressive of peak. And, LAUPT was actually quite crowded today for the mid afternoon.

There was a massive amount of security, lots of LAPD and LACS, everywhere today, including guys in tactical outfits. So much that I was wondering if there might be some kind of alert or threat. I've never ever seen this many cops at LAUPT, or out on the lines, everywhere, in my 25 years of riding Metro's rail system. I don't know if this maybe has to do with the giant rally in downtown LA tomorrow, or some other thing, but I've never seen anything like this level of police presence.
