There is a possible connection. My guess is this may have been an inspection trip arranged by the railroad museum at Campo since one family that volunteers/volunteered works/worked for Sierra as their "day job". I don't recall the museum having a hirail, so this was likely borrowed from Sierra Northern for the trip.
