Yes and No. They raised the money but then Inland Environment the contractor who is set to scrap it got greedy and raised the purchase price. In my opinion Inland Environment sounds like a shady and untrustable company.

For those not sure what is going on, Port Arthur, Texas had Louisiana & Arkansas steam locomotive 503 in a park. They just up and sold it to Inland Environment to be scraped with no warning or public comment.
