Do these cars maintain the same floor height throughout? In other words where do you get the clearance for the trucks and related running gear?

I am very curious as to whether the low body to rail clearance affects the potential top speed. The advantages of the low floor configuration are so significant that you have to question whether they couldn't be adapted to interurban service.
