A lot has changed there since the book was published in 2009. Below is a quick update on the locations listed, and when I have some more time (probably not till tomorrow) I'll try to post a newer more inclusive list per my notes.

Alpaugh -- West Isle Line, 5.5 mile line using ex SP GP9 WIL is still running with the GP9 and track mobile of some sort last I checked

Hanford -- Cargill, Mighy Cow GP9. Integrated Grain and Milling ex Santa Fe GP9. Penny Newman ex A&C GP20. Mighty Cow is long gone. Integrated Grain and Milling has the GP9 (sometimes) and an SD20. There are two SD40T-2s at another grain/milling place in Kings Park. Penney Newman still has the GP20, but believe it is OOS. They also have an SD9 which they are currently using.

Tulare -- J.D. Heiskell hybrid loco. Land O'Lakes industrial loco. The Heiskell loco was scrapped. It was not a hybrid, but some rebuilt thing. No idea about the Land O' Lakes loco.

Traver -- Foster Farms, two locos, one a CF7. The CF7 is long gone. They have an SD38AC and some Genset.

Wasco -- Savage Coal, GP7. Long gone. This operation has closed up as I recall.

Goshen -- Western Milling, GP9. This is an ex-ATSF GP7. I dont believe they ever had a GP9. Believe this one is slated to be replaced with a Genset.

Pixley -- J.D. Heiskell, two GPs and one SD9. These two GP9s and SD9 are shared with their operation at Tulare as I recall. Typically one GP is at Tulare.

Famoso -- Western Milling, one SD18. SD18 is still there as of now, but slated to be replaced with a Genset as I recall

For fun, here is a flickr album with photos of 6 of the San Joaquin Valley Industrial Loco (and two others in SoCal: https://www.flickr.com/photos/142011876@N07/albums/72157674388404161

Hope this helps,
~Matt
