Just a gentle reminder to those of us who have probably been out of jr. and sr. high school for a long time. When using the word "its" in referring to ownership of something (as in "its train weighed over 4000 tons" no apostrophe is used. When using a contraction for "it" and "is" an apostrophe is added: it's. The apostrophe takes the place of the missing letter.
