Except for the 1930s era depot built by the Santa Fe, the museum has little in the way of Santa Fe equipment. Possibly one or two freight cars. It actually has more SP "stuff" than anything else, including an steam locomotive (H&TC), diesel switcher (SW1 or NW2 ?), and an RDC. The RDC ran in Oakland-Sacramento service and on the NWP.
There is an F-unit and some stainless steel passenger cars stored there, leftover from the "Texas Limited" excursion train of the 90s.
The depot served as a Union Depot for trains of the SP, MP, MKT, and GH&H. All had bowed out of Galveston passenger service by the early 1950s except the Santa Fe.
