Many years ago we were riding the Yreka Western when Bill, a retired CHP officer, was firing as a volunteer. He saw our videocam and asked if we would film him for his grandkids to see and in exchange we got a cab ride back from Montague to Yreka. We filmed him and sent it to him. Great guy. Hope all is well with him. And oh yes, thsats where I learned what a lousy whistle blower I was as we came back into Yreka!
