PNWR Sherwood Trestle Rebuild. Sherwood, Ore.

Construction is well underway to replace the trestle that burned is spectacular fashion in Sherwood, Ore. on the SP West Side Branch in August 2015. This line is operated by the Portland & Western Railroad and while not needed for daily operations, must be replaced as a condition of the lease of the line from SP/UP. Of course it must be updated to current standards for car weight & seismic events leading to a impressive structure being erected that will see virtually no use for the foreseeable future.
