Since we operate only EMD switchers most of the major parts are readily available. We have a small machine and fabrication shop in house and farm out larger items. Some of the hard to find parts (such as the air throttle valve on non mu-able switchers)and contactor / reverser parts we have "horded" a supply to keep our units running and can generally upgrade as necessary.

We operated a rail-served steel fabrication and salvage business on the Portland Traction and when they filed for abandonment in 1991 I purchased the 5 miles currently in operation and scrapped out the remaining 24 miles. Two years later we purchased the Molalla Branch from SP and the two operations are doing quite well.

Just completed 26 years without a FRA reportable accident or injury.
