Gravel barges, from the pit & crusher located up Chambers Creek. Remnants still exist, as does the rail spur into the plant. The Chambers Creek Golf Course - Home of the 2015 U.S. Open - is built on the re-sculpted remains of the pit. The marina is more recent.
