Oh yeah.

Better yet would be something along the lines of the driverless car control system that would give the pedestrian a 360 degree input of all the vehicles coming at him. And a record of all the pertinent info so that when the cops and the coroner show up they can right away track down the perp and slap on the cuffs, real, real, real tite.

But I dunno know how you would place all that tech in, say, a hat.
