With the urban environment Byron & the Boys have to deal with, a shoving platform / caboose would be useful, though a crew member usually drives ahead of the train to clear autos / trucks / motor homes / dome tents / shopping carts / bicyclists from the Right of Way. The sister company Eastside Rail has a former NP extended - vision caboose ( with a roof - mounted air horn ) kept inside their compound in Woodinville, WA.
