BG&CM--more trouble.

Found a Sunday Lewiston Morning Tribune in the library today and it contained a story about how the local Indian tribe is upset over the 14 miles of rail cars in storage on the lower portion of the former Grangeville Branch. The tribe claims that the cars are interfearing with the movement of wildlife causing more deer and such to be killed on the nearby Hiway 95, the tribe also claims that the cars are preventing Tribal members from exercising their right to gather native foods and to hunt. The tribe feels that the only reason the cars are there is to prevent the abandoned line from rightfully reverting back to tribal members. Tribe claims that the BG&CM has been unresponsive to their concerns and is planning to take other action against the railroad to get the "unsightly cars" removed.
