On the endsill is a coupler release lever
Above that is a steel plate to reinforce the end
And an angle above that, same purpose
Near the top is a 'lumber door' for loading long sticks.
The angles tie the girts around the corner, another reinforcement
No the end is not removable
And the lettering near the bottom denotes it is a 40 ton car by stating the triple valve is a K1
The Bx-O cars beyond are a bonus
