As Clint Eastwood said, "I think you've misjudged me...." for when I've been "staff" it has mostly been for local Republican officials. This is probably because I do have a relatively conservative free market approach and point of view, and accurately presented all sides, and made my professional recommendations on transportation issues based on things like my fiduciary duty, with a responsibility to represent the interests of the citizens and taxpayers (including myself) who's money it really is, following the laws that governed our processes, and hopefully, the best cost benefit for the taxpayer dollar.
So I'm not really into the nonsense spouted by either loony fringe of our tribal factions, or thieves, or political wannabee's, promoting and pandering to ignorance and fear. Which is now so easily amplified on the internet.
Now ain't it just so sad, though, that when this troll, under his several persona's, comes out in his neo Nazi handle, to attack Neil Young with his troll crap, after the fire burned down his home, possibly destroying his rail collections, that you've got nothing to say, and it's "My Bad"...…..
And. poor mouse.....I'm so mean to him... he's just a poor little snowflake, melting under my withering sarcasm, "Bad Bob!"..... But, I'm perfectly okay with you're unquestioning obedience to, respect for, and even a proper subservience to those who tweet and post the most ignorant and ugly rants about this tragedy, aimed to score political points with hate filled losers, while so many of our fellow Americans and Californians have been burned out, and 48 people are dead....
I'm so mean to folks like that, and it's also sooooo bad for the "young ones", now that's a nice touch.....
I'm actually neither a "liberal" nor a "conservative" any more...too crazy for me. I'm now a Carlinista, after that great philosopher George Carlin, who's mantra I follow...regardless of the supposed ideological or tribal "truth" of the crap being peddled..."it's bull$hit and it's bad for you...."
And, as my old drill Sergeant used to say, "if it applies let it, if it don't, it don't mean $hit to you anyhow....", does it?
