If documentaries on WWI interest you there is an excellent two DVD set titled "The Last Voices of WWI". It is a British multi-part documentary with interviews of survivors who were on the front lines, plus nurses, the families left at home, etc. It must have been produced quite a while ago, but it was assembled into this DVD set on the 90th Anniversary of the Armistice. The last survivor was Harry Patch who lived to be 111 years old.
