Correct. And a light that would illuminate, indicating the direction the train was coming from. Additionally, since the SF Bay Drawbridge was a train order station the dispatcher would need to "clear" each train.

The SF Bay Drawbridge didn't have a railroad radio.

Marine movements sounded their horn.
