Not as simple as it looks.

I know for a fact that a couple of CA museums tried to get this car, including Portola.

However, the folks in Maricopa County were convinced that the Silver Horizon had "Arizona heritage" and were unresponsive to any attempts to move it out of the area.

Some local boosters used offers to acquire the car as proof it had value and needed to stay in the area.
