Larry,
Thanks for the "Railroad Roundup & Daily Update" as I have called it since you took over after Rob died. I appreciate it (and so do many others out here). In putting myself in your shoes, I know what you are up against, my wife has health problems (but has in the 7 years we have been married) and outside work, she and my cat deserve my attention for the reasons your family does also. As John mentioned above, your "daily update" was a must read everyday for me.
For those of you that want to see alot of articles, either the same or similar, that appeared in Larry Grant's daily update, check out www.railnews.net. That site contains newspaper articles from around the country (and around the world, for that matter) that have anything and/or everything to do with trains and railroads, in all forms and types from transit to museums, to model railroading to the class 1s and short lines. It is supported by Trainweb and is updated just about everyday (some exceptions do apply!).
Well Larry, as Norman Kirk, Manager for UP at Omaha and a former UP Superintendent in Wichita, Kansas, who is a man I have alot of respect for, would say to you, "Thanks for your time and please continue to work safe!" Well, Norman (without even talking to him) & I are very pround of you!
THE END
