OK, buddy, let me provide a short history lesson for you:

The Central Pacific (as Carol Voss noted above) was constructed by Chinese laborers.

The Southern Pacific leased the Central Pacific in 1885.

In 1959, the Central Pacific was formally merged into the Southern Pacific.

In 1996, Southern Pacific was purchased by Union Pacific.

The original Central Pacific route over Donner Pass continues to be a major UP route.

Thus, the Chinese absolutely had a connection to the current UP.

Your claim that UP "disavows any thing [sic] SP" is not a reality-based comment. UP painted a diesel to commemorate its SP heritage and UP's website has a section on the SP.

Moreover, UP's website currently has a section titled "The Great Race to Promontory" with detailed information on the Central Pacific.
