Letchworth Trestle

I've seen a few photos of this trestle in western New York, near Portageville, but never been out there. It is on my "to-do list", but I've heard that is slated for replacement. Clearly there would be a huge expense for a new bridge and likely approach alignments. Assuming replacement is true, why not re-inforce the existing structure?
