All transport is interconnected. Freight rail has been know to move automobiles and of course truck trailers and containers.

Transit makes connections with autos all the time, ergo the vast BART parking lots. Even lowly SMART has parking lots.

Fewer manufacturing jobs has a big effect on the economy. You are gonna get a lot less tax revenue out of minimum wage burger flippers than UAW assembly line workers.

Eventually you will probably see robotic burger flippers.
