Santa Cruz Branch question

I understand the cement plant at Davenport hasn't been producing for a while due to low demand. Then, high levels of Chromium-6 was discovered in the vicinity, which Cemex attributes to metal additives in the cement; they say they won't resume production (regardless of demand) until this problem is solved. Apparantly, they are still shipping stock on hand, and I saw the train in Davenport about 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know if they are still shipping (and if the Local is still running up there), and if so, what the prospects are for the near future? In other words, I'd like to chase the branch, and I'm wondering if it's worth my while to head over there. Thanks for any info.
