BART does not want that Caltrain extension to the TBT and has always fought it; it gets in the way of their tube to Geary and other possible imperial schemes.

Note the foto of the viaduct in the Valley - doesn't it seem pretty lightweight construction in comparison to the light rail viaduct they are now building in San Diego? I mean it is a lot more attractive. This is the kind of construction I would use on SMART, say, in downtown San Rafael over the parallel one-way streets adjacent to the 101 overpass.
