Some guy at trainsim.com has built a route on the premises that:
1: SP is still around and doing fine; also Cal Northern, Wine Train, SMART, UP, etc.
2: NWP is still around and doing more than fine;
3: NWP and SMART run across the GG Bridge into SF and interchange freight with SFBRR, which runs at night along the Embarcadero streetcar tracks to connect, and passengers to the Muni at Fisherman's Wharf.
4: SMART runs all sorts of commuter trains, many with Comet cars and Genesis diesels.
5: The full Marin NWP traction network is still there, running with modern and vintage (mostly PE-based, since that's what's available in the file libraries) electric cars - though no wire and no 3rd rail - all are converted to hybrid.
6: Mt Tam RR is still there, and occasional NWP trains struggle up the hill with supplies.
And on and on. Amusing as s***. The Mouse should get an account to look at the screen shots.
