Gee, that didn't happen when UP 844 and Challenger 3985 doubleheaded through that "big tunnel" at the top, back in 1999, enroute to Railfair '99. The damned GE diesel tripped the ground relay, unloaded and then died, so the Engineer on 3985 had to go to full throttle in order to maintain track speed. The 4014 is no bigger than 3985, just a lot longer. Also, the crews of both 844 and 3985 were issued standard RR "air hoods" just in case of such a situation, and they all worked very well.
