Seems to me those junk locos belong to the "tierra" into which they are rusting.

If you are a broke-ass country why not sell off some boneyard stuff to people interested in rebuilding and operating the equipment and the means to do so.

Those engines would just be coming back home.

Consider the pathetic fate of the NdeM HR-01 class and the NdeM could not even find a buyer. Those Fegua locos could get scrapped any time. Remember what happened to the #5632.

The 2 ft. gauge Welsh Highlands RR got at least one 2-6-6-2 Garratt back from Natal province in South Africa. That would probably not be possible now with the current government there.
