Amtrak operations require a subsidy.

If electrification is not tentative why complicate matters with half-assed diesel trains in the way? And flaky shoeflys to class 1 RR's. Not to mention liabilities, FRA-AAR rules, etc.

This thing no way meets the letter nor the spirit of Prop 1a. At least have the probity to put it back before the voters. Cali guvmint is so corrupt. The judiciary is so politicized; they should have challenged the internal contradictions in the planning early on. The richies of the Peninsula were so correct in demanding the "blend".
