Ah, another one. The BB is out on a Class 1 Mainline in 2019. its 60 years old.
Far from failure, but then blue sky expectations can never be met. Curious where this trip was promoted to be anything except in honor of the 150th ? That the BB was to do anything other than what has transpired so far ?

Maybe these posters are on the steam or maintenance crew ? or have some first hand insight to them ? real info on the teething issues that have developed. Oh wait, they don't and have no real idea of what is going on. Much less the extent of the issues, small or not, or whether this 3 day trip was planned in a manner to bring the BB up to its potential.
The few very minor issues this locomotive is experiencing since a major restoration is nothing of significance.
The trip is far from over. Who knows, the UP may even put the BB to work after the ceremony. I would also bet its up to any challenge that is put on its drawbar. But we will just have to wait and see.
