I have on good authority that 844 will go in to "long term storage" after its return to Cheyenne - meaning, most likely, for the rest of this year while 4014 goes on tour. The steam crew will have 40 days to finish up on items not completed before the trip to Ogden. Most exciting thing I heard was a possible trip over the Moffat in October.....
