This is the branchline between Mejillones and Prat that goes over Cumbre Pass on the Andean Front Range.

At Prat, this line connects with the mainline between Antofagasta and Calama. This section over the Pass sees 1 to 2 trains every 2-3 hours.

Most heavy trains have manned helpers over the 3% grades.
