VAlley CAHSR the Embarcadero Freeway of the future?

That elevated reminds me of the Embarcadero Freeway stub that stood just east of the Wharf in SF for decades until the whole monstrosity was demo'd after the 1989 earthquake. Credit one to Art Agnos.

Why does not the Democratic Party live up to their name and put this thing back on the ballot with some alternatives? Screw the patronage machine hacks and the Palmdale real estate developers and the Ranch.

Note the stilts do seem more beefy and closer spaced than HART's. Picture a SMART viaduct like this in downtown San Rafael parallel to 101 where it could do some good.
