They made a point saying the MacArthur switching station is 50 years old. So? I'm sure the building is not the problem. They should focus on putting in new electronic components that use less power to function. Less power equals less heat generated so they may not have to mess with the AC. The way BART looks at it would be like a person replacing their house because the refrigerator is on the fritz.
