I just rode the Skunk train a couple of months ago, and one of the conductors told me it would be at least 5 years before the tunnel would be rebuilt. I'm not sure where he got his info, but since it came from a CWR employee, I would consider it to be legitimate.

Did the CWR ever get the washout repaired? As of April, the Willits train was not going to Northspur anymore due to a washout just past Tunnel 2.

Track conditions coming out of Fort Bragg weren't much better. There were several places where the track disappeared under mud and water. Top speed of the train was about 5 MPH, much slower than the other times I've been on the train.
