Over the years Muni has been grosso modo deaf to suggestions from outsiders and civilians. Of course a lot of the hostility dates back to the streetcar massacre of 1946-56.

A number of good and smart people have previously tried to steer Muni in a right direction to no avail. People like Norm Rolph and Jerry Cauthen in the past. Muni planning seems to have gone back to BARTmen and diesel busmen since maybe 1990.

A single voice would be drowned out by the roar of MTC-BART-SPUR.
