not likely anytime soon. Part of the problem has always been CSX's woeful operation ofthe former Monon; when (and if) the South Shore Line builds out the Dyer extension from Hasmmond (essentially taking over a short section of the Hoosier State route) and If a deal can be cut with CN, rerouting to skip CSX slow running N of Dyer a better service might happen. Or potentially a shutlle to connect w/ South Shore at Dyer might evolve. All that is a decade away unless some meth gets injected into the project.
