Most newspaper sites have obnoxious ads, paywalls, requirements to register, and other schemes.

If I want to invest my time in clicking a link to another site, I want to have a reason for going there.

Similarly if I see a thread on this site with a non-descriptive title like, "you gotta see this!", I'm not going to waste my time reading it unless I know what it's about.

You might just have to learn how to think rather than react, BOB2.
