In the initial stages of selling the Palmdale scheme Tejon was vilified as seismic unbuildable and Tehachapi as safe from temblors. Of course PB was prevaricating and eventually was forced to admit the seismic dangers of both are roughly equivalent. But the planning damage was done as per Ranch-Palmdale diktat.
