There was a place in Utah that stencled USA, Navy, and other engines and or cars,

"TED-RED / OGDEN ". This was in 67 to 69. If it was an engine we would spend months getting that moth balled spray crap off things that you needed to touch.

We would get engines, whole hospital trains with that on each truck or somewhere on each piece of the equipment.

We had a guy at the 714th that was stationed at the place in Utah and he said they had a whole bunch of different engines (he said he saw 4 steamers that were mothballed) and of course complete trains.

I thought they sold off a lot of box cars in the late 90s that had friction bearings, for not much money. Delivered to a siding or team track near you.
