Single GP 40-2 through Chico with short freight

Just saw UP 1448 WB through Chico with a short ten car freight. Haven't seen any four axle units here in a long time. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I saw a single SD40-2 with 2 covered hoppers WB through Chico. Both of these were about the same time, early afternoon. Prior to these two sightings this line has been nothing but multiple six axle units on everything, even on the Redding turn. Can anyone with inside information tell me whats going on?
