Amtrak long distance is not push pull.

Surfliner terminating at LAUS would be easier to move to servicing/storage if reversal isn't necessary.

Metrolink terminating at LAUS would be easier to move out for servicing if reversal isn't necessary.

Lots of uses for a loop track.
