OPRRMS curiosity really I guess. Been reading a bit more it seems like PTC is a type of train control, a broad class with some characteristics like allotting speeds to a train, and E-ATC is the method/infrastructure/software etc. for achieving a PTC system. Different things. If this is correct, you don't equip a locomotive with PTC, you equip it with the E-ATC consoles and controls or whatever. Do I have this right?
