In case you're still watching this J Mann...aerial view is more recent. Looks like Chris Baldo built that shop about 2013-2014, the most recent aerial imagery in Google Earth shows a fair amount of track laid on that lot. There is a track that heads out to the California Western mainline, I've heard Chris has been talking to the CWR about installing a switch but they are either refusing or otherwise demanding an exorbitant price. I imagine this lot is designed to hold overflow equipment from the main Roots of Motive Power facility across town.

As to your second question, possible but doubtful, especially given where recycling markets are right now. And even if they did ship by rail, no way would it be enough to make any sort of operation from Willits south economical.
