Well, that won't be possible with the EMUs. They do not have dedicated hand brakes.

Instead of that, they have spring-loaded brakes, and the control system does not allow movements if they are not released.

But don't those cars have disk brakes anyway? If so, it could well be that the anti-block system is not working properly (which can be a maintenance issue).
