AFAIK BART manages to avoid all the fairs in the Bay Area. There are no fairgrounds near any BART stations.

Fare evasion, however, is pretty common especially in downtown stations.

Giving free rides after Coliseum events is actually fairly smart (see what I did there?) because it moves the crowds faster; BART merely needs to charge the venue something per ticket (like SacRT does with Golden 1 Center and a few other events that get extended service).
