Why would Silicon Valley cubicle slaves want to go hundreds of miles into 110 degrees to live in high-priced housing?

Blowing like $5bil on a 13 mile base tunnel at Pacheco is bat-@#$%& crazy.

CAHSR was supposed to be bleeding edge competitive with air. Dumbed down and gerrymandered by real estate developers.
