Well, this is the lowest reason, my thoughts, of what the UP did when they took over the SP, to the employees. (There are a lot of others but it would take pages to list.)
I know, this sounds like CS but the SP Bulletin meant a lot to employees. You could keep track of where people were working, retirements and deaths, etc. and what was going on around the system. I know, we have computers now but that doesn't cut it.
After they did that, I wrote a letter to the CEO. I got a one sentence answer. "It cost too much". That was it.
That was the answer to people who had worked (over 40 yrs) for SP & UP for many, many years.
I would love to list OTHER things down the line but I will wait until the the time is right.

Insurance?
Operations?
Support?
Changing officer positions.
Rule Interruption.
